Our story begins right here in Southeast Alaska, with roots stretching back more than 30 years, we’ve spent decades sharing the incredible landscapes, wildlife, and adventures of this remarkable corner of the world with visitors from around the globe.
Our roots run deep in the communities of Skagway and Haines, where our locally owned and operated companies, Alaska Mountain Guides and Chilkat Guides, have spent decades exploring the mountains, rivers, and waterways of Southeast Alaska.
Today, the same local knowledge and love for Alaska are at the heart of Skagway Excursions, connecting visitors with unforgettable experiences in the place we’re proud to call home.

Since 1978 we have been leading world class trips and tours on Alaskan rivers. We lead rafting trips in Haines and Skagway as well as extended expedition river trips throughout Alaska. We have the best guides in the business; knowledgeable about the natural and cultural history of our area, and skilled oarsmen and women. Rafting is our specialty, lasting memories are our business.
